Mezzo Soprano

Class of 2014 — Engineering
Hometown: Boulder, CO

Raena Hubbell has been passionate about music since her mom first sat her down at a piano bench at the age of five. Since then, she has pursued a variety of musical outlets, including songwriting, accompanying choirs, and assuming various choral leadership roles in high school and college. Mile 21 means the world to her; she feels extraordinarily privileged to sing with such amazing people.

Bridget Kromrey, Social Chair
Mezzo-Soprano

Class of 2012
Hometown: Denver, CO

Bridget grew up singing along side her folk singing family and music has become a life long love affair for her. Her first week in college she stepped over a chalking for acappella auditions and marched into a room of 16 beautiful singers. She sung her heart out with a jazzy little tune and a few days later she began to call Mile-21 her family at CU. She feels privileged to have sung with so many magnificent people over her four years in this group. She is looking forward to capturing all the magic of Mile-21 during this last semester.

Jeff Jones
Bass, Vocal Percussion

Class of 2012 — Chemical Engineering, minor in Biochemistry
Hometown: Annapolis, MD

Jeff has been a music enthusiast for as long as he can remember but took his first plunge into vocal performance in 2008 when he joined Mile 21. He instantly fell in love with both singing and hanging out with all of the amazingly attractive members of Mile 21 and hasn’t looked back since. When Jeff isn’t singing with Mile 21, he enjoys many outdoor activities such as mountain biking, snowboarding, and camping. In general, Jeff just goes hard in the paint. Swag.

Dan Gladem
Tenor

Class of 2012 — Film
Hometown: Boulder, CO

Dan’s Mile 21 journey started during the fall of ’09, when on a return trip from Disneyland he was assaulted whilst walking through the UMC by the most attractive collective of musicians he had ever seen. It was love at first sound. This is his final semester with the ensemble and while he is disappointed to leave the group, he is forever proud, grateful and ecstatic to be a part of the Mile 21 family tree. Cheers.

Melissa Hostetter
Alto

Class of 2013 — Advertising
Hometown: McKinney, TX

Melissa’s passion for singing began as a child, after realizing she was utterly terrible at any sort of sport or athletic endeavor. She sung her way through school, and knew before even starting college that she wanted to be in Mile 21. She enjoys arts & crafts, vegetables and wild dance parties. Mile 21 is her family and she hopes that these beautiful people will be in her life forever!

Stephen Blaskowski
Bass

Class of 2014 — MCDB and Neuroscience
Hometown: Conifer, CO

Stephen first started singing in the Elk Creek Elementary Choir where he became a legend for passing out on the risers because the kid next to him challenged him to hold his breath for an entire song. His interest in music has since developed to a true passion though his stubbornness has not diminished over time.

Meghan Damour, Gig Manager & Alumni Coordinator

Soprano

Class of 2014 — Linguistics and Spanish Language & Literature
Hometown: Parker, CO

Meghan has been singing and performing since she was just a wee lass in choirs and theatrical settings alike. She likes pretty much everything except for worms and math and navigation, but she especially loves books and singing with the beautiful people in Mile 21. Meghan plans to have an idyllic life involving a large library and many pets.

Parker Davis, Webmaster
Tenor

Class of 2015 — English

Parker is an eclectic composer whose songwriting career began at age 14 with “Truth in Sand”, a singer-songwriter album that listed on iTunes in 2008. Outside of Mile 21, Parker spends all his free time making musicals, movies, and fat beats. Mile 21 is his most prized musical endeavor in college, and he is immeasurably thankful for it.

Hannah Judson

Hannah has always loved to sing, and is thrilled that she can continue to pursue her passion for music with such a fun and talented group. She enjoys spontaneous adventures, bowling, and watching entirely too much TV. She plans to be a music teacher.

Jeff “Sonny” Carlson

Class of 2015
Hometown: Cañon City, CO

In a world where the daily toils of engineering homework and honours classes dampen all creativity… One boy, one guitar, and one fedora try to do the impossible. From directing a show choir and traveling the world, to now chasing a musical theatre BFA and jamming with Mile 21, Sonny’s life-long goal is to create joy and music in this wonderful life.

Hailey Bohannon
Soprano

Class of 2015 — Political Science
