Mile 21 A Cappella has been at the forefront of the Colorado vocal music scene since the Spring of 2004. Founded by CU students Chris Carey and Graham Fuller, Mile 21 has been consistently wowing audiences at the University of Colorado at Boulder and the surrounding community. Specializing in innovative harmonies, cutting-edge arrangements and no shortage of vocal pyrotechnics, CU’s newest co-ed a cappella group is dedicated to breaking new musical ground and exploring the limitless potential of the human voice. The ensemble currently consists of sixteen singers from all years and fields of study at the university, arranging and singing a diverse repertoire of pop, rock, hip-hop and jazz tunes. They give public concerts every semester, and are available for private and charity performances.
Mile 21 just released their third album “Point of Interest” this winter. “Sing” is Mile 21′s first full-length studio album, recorded in spring of 2006. Their second album, “Detour” was released in spring of 2010. Mile 21 was named Best Colorado Collegiate A Cappella Group for three consecutive years at the Mile High Vocal Jam in 2007, 2008, and 2009, taking second place in 2010.
